HIGHLIGHTS OF MYANMAR

DAY 1: YANGON

Arrive Yangon. You will be met and transferred to your hotel

DAY 2: YANGON SIGHTSEEING

Yangon. Start your exploration of Yangon with a walking tour of some of the citie’s most fascinating sights. Stop at a local tea house for lunch (not included). Continue to Kyaukhtatgyi and Shwedagon Pagoda. B

DAY 3: YANGON - MANDALAY

Yangon to Mandalay. Morning ﬂight to Mandalay. Transfer to the city of Mandalay. In the afternoon take a city tour which includes the Royal Palace, Golden Palace Monastery, and Kuthodaw Pagoda (home to ‘the world’s largest book’). B

DAY 4: MANDALAY

Mandalay. Morning a lively local Jade market then head out of Mandalay city to Sagaing to visit a local nunnery for lunch. Later visit U Bein Bridge for a walk along this 200 year-old teak bridge. B

DAY 5: MANDALAY - BAGAN

Mandalay to Bagan. Today embark on a day cruise from Madalay to Bagan. Enjoy as you cruise the Irrawaddy River see the exquisite carvings at Kyauk Gu U Min D27. Arrive into Bagan in the late afternoon for a relaxing evening. BL

DAY 6: BAGAN

Bagan. Today explore the temples of Bagan, including the magnifcent Ananda Temple. Visit the charming Minnathu Village for an insight into local life. Continue with a visit to the Dhammayazika Paya. B

DAY 7: BAGAN - INLE LAKE

Bagan to Inle Lake. Fly to Heho. Drive to Nyaung Shwe on the bank of Inle Lake. Visit Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery before boarding a local motor boat. See the ingenious ﬂoating gardens, visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, and visit a cheroot ‘factory’. B

DAY 8: INLE LAKE

Inle Lake. Explore Inle Lake with a visit to the morning market, where you can meet local hilltribe people. Explore a local village and beautiful ruined ancient stupas. B

DAY 9: INLE LAKE - YANGON

Inle Lake to Yangon. Fly to Yangon. The rest of the day is at leisure before the farwell dinner. BD

DAY 10: DEPART YANGON

Depart Yangon. Today transfer from your hotel to the airport. B
