If time permits, we will take a short city tour with Temple of Literature, Ngoc son temple and Ancient quarter.

Start discovering the Northeast Vietnam by motorbike at 8:30 from our bike store. Take some time to get along well with the bikes and listen to our guide instruction.
We’ll head out of Hanoi on the winding road along the red river. It’s a beautiful 50 km dyke road from Hanoi to Viet Tri town. After the town we can be back to ride along the Thao river up to North Vietnam. The ride along the winding dike road is one of the highlights of this Northeast Vietnam motorcycle trip. After lunch in Doan Hung Town, we have 2 different choices to be on the long or short road to Thac Ba lake. If we arrive at the lake early and the weather permits, we’ll have a short boat trip around the Thac Ba lake – one of the largest lakes in North Vietnam.

We start today earlier than usual days at 07.30AM to further North where famous town Sapa is located. The first morning ride is very twisting with continuous turns under the shades of hill and mountains along Road No 70. We stop for lunch in Pho Rang town.
Keep our wheel up north to Lao Cai city and take the last challenging ride of 35 km to Sapa that is very twisting. Today the roads mostly are paved, quiet, less traffic but accessing and descending quite much.

Take an easy ride to visit the beautiful valley Muong hoa before getting into real challenge but awesome experience today. We start our ride toward west to Lai Chau province by conquering the highest passes of Vietnam. Your motorbike will go up and up and up to the height of 2000m to sea level, then sharply down to Lai Chau. Standing at the top of the pass where is often called “ Haven Gate”, capturing miles and miles away silhouettes of Fansipan range, it’s the feelings of your breath taken away.
Drive down to Lai Chau province for overnight tonight.

It is true to say “the further you go up north (Vietnam) the faster you heart rate”. Stay focus and we today drive from Sin Ho to Dien Bien Phu. Upon arrival we could ride around to explore the town and learn about the glorious victory of Vietnam army against French force. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.

In this morning, ride to the Lao border and do the border crossing at checking port.

This is a scenic lightly traveled road to bustling Odomxai. Odomxai seems to be undergoing a renaissance. Lots of construction and activity in the town these days. They have an airport here also (with less than daily service). We stay at the nicest place in town.

Let’s take remote winding trails today before heading towards the Mekong River. You will take a boat with the bikes and get on the main road to Luang Prabang for the last 50 kms.
