DAY 1: HA NOI ARRIVAL
Upon arrival, transfer to the city and have free time at your leisure.

DAY 2: HA NOI COOKING - CITY TOUR
After breakfast we will join a cooking class. We begin with a visit to a local market with the chef and learn about Vietnamese ingredients. For lunch, will head into the kitchen to prepare a proper Vietnamese meal. In the afternoon you will discover Hanoi with an English-speaking guide. Part of your tour will include sightseeing the Old Quarter by cyclo. Afterwards we will enjoy a water puppet performance. This fantastic art form originated in northern Vietnam. DAY 3: HA NOI - HA LONG BAY
In the early morning we depart for Halong Bay. Once at the port we embark on an exciting fve-hour cruise through the sublime 3,000 limestone islands. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath the towering cliffs. Overnight on the Junk.

    


DAY 4: HA LONG BAY - HA NOI
Our morning cruise will lead us to the Luon Cave before lunch. Food will be served on the boat before we disembark and head back to Hanoi. We will stop enroute to see the Dong Trieu ceramic and pottery village. The rest of the afternoon is free at your leisure. Accommodation in Hanoi.


DAY 5: HA NOI - HUE CITADEL
Today, we will be free in the morning and then take a flight to Hue. This quiet city is widely known for the magnifcent architecture of its citadels, palaces, royal tombs, pagodas and temples built under the Nguyen Dynasty. We will visit the major sites including the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Royal City Accommodation in Hue.

     
DAY 6: HUE ROYAL CRUISINE BOAT TRIP ON PERFUME RIVE
Today, we will enjoy a morning cooking class at Y Thao Garden. Sample and learn about some unique methods for cooking ‘Royal’ meals. In the afternoon, take a short walk around the city before enjoying a boat trip cruising upon Perfume River and visiting the Thien Mu Pagoda and Minh Mang King Tomb. Accommodation in Hue.
      
DAY 7: HUE - DA NANG - HOI AN
Today we start with a morning drive to Hoi An via Lang Co Beach and the stunning Hai Van Pass. We stop enroute to visit the fascinating Cham Museum, My Khe Beach and Marble Mountain, all in Danang.

   

Hoi An was once one of South East Asia’s major international ports and today it still retains that special old-world feel. Enjoy a walking tour through the Old Quarter and try some local specialties. Hoi An is also famous for its large number of tailor shops, so if you want to have a new wardrobe made up, this is the time to do it.


  
DAY 8: HOI AN TRA QUE - COOKING CLASS
Today, after breakfast, we will drive to Tra Que village. The walking around this quaint village is splendid, seeing how local farmers work their felds using traditional methods. We will pick some fresh herbs for our cooking lesson later, At Red Bridge Cooking School we have a chance to freshen up before beginning our class. Working together with the chef, we will learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food from scratch. After the class we get to dine on our creations! The afternoon and evening is leisure time for you.

DAY 9: HOI AN LEISURE
The entire day is yours to shop, visit the local beaches and relax

DAY 10: HOI AN - MY SON TEMPLE - SAI GON
In the morning we drive to My Son and visit the UNESCO heritage site Cham temples and old Champ King Palace. For lunch we will head back to Hoi An and then in the late afternoon hop on a short flight to Saigon.

DAY 11: SAI GON COOKING CLASS - CITY TOUR
Our morning cooking lesson will be at the Vietnam Cookery Center. The lesson includes a market visit and lunch. In the afternoon we head out into Saigon for a tour to some its famous sites.

DAY 12: SAI GON - CAI BE MARKET - VINH LONG - MEKONG DELTA
We will depart for Cai Be early and once there, board a motorized boat to visit a popped-corn cake and rice paper making family. We then check out Cai Be’s. Lunch is at a local home with a stunning bonsai garden. The afternoon will see us walking around the peaceful rural atmosphere. After a bit of free time for you to relax, we return to Saigon.

DAY 13: SAI GON - DEPARTURE
Free at your leisure before your departure flight.
Optional: Tour can be continued to Cambodia with Angkor temple tours. Please send a request.
